Initial Type Rating Training Programs

AeroStar Training Services can complete your initial type rating training in as little as 10 days by utilizing our "Virtual Distant Learning" program! We currently offer Airbus A320, Boeing 737NG and Boeing BBJ type ratings. Imagine, in only 10 days your career could be heading for new horizons.

AeroStar is the first FAA approved training center to offer students a distant learning program for the sytems ground school training by utilizing online virtual classrooms with real systems and ground school instructors. Online video chat, graphic chalk board, and Virtual Flight Deck software allows you to interact one on one with your ground school instructor or with an entire class room of students.

All students will receive Virtual Flight Deck software with 100% free play and flight simulation which puts a fully functional Airbus or Boeing flight deck at your fingertips right on your personal computer. Every light, switch, button, indicator works just like the real aircraft. In addition, the software allows you to visualize how each system works with real time visual systems diagrams and graphics.

We also offer traditional ground school programs for those students that may be new to large turbine aircraft or just prefer the traditional classroom environment. Either way, we have the prefect training program to meet your needs and schedule!

Program Descriptions

INITIAL/TRANSITION PIC TRAINING COURSE
This core curriculum is an approved course of training for obtaining the specified aircraft Type Rating with an ATP certificate or for adding the Type Rating to a Commercial or ATP certificate. Certification is in accordance with Part 61.63 or 61.157 only.

RECURRENT TRAINING COURSE
This curriculum is an approved course of training applied to meet the specified Aircraft Type and Crew Position Flight Review and Proficiency Check requirements of CFR 14 Part 61.56, 61.57 and 61.58 only.

UPGRADE TRAINING COURSE
This curriculum is an approved course of training for obtaining the specified aircraft Type Rating with an ATP certificate or for adding the Type Rating to a Commercial or ATP certificate. Certification is in accordance with Part 61.63 or 61.157 only.

REQUALIFICATION TRAINING COURSE
This curriculum is an approved course of training applied to meet the specified Aircraft Type and Recent Flight Experience requirements of CFR 14 Part 61.57 only.

INITIAL/TRANSITION SIC TRAINING COURSE
This curriculum is an approved course of training for obtaining the specified aircraft Type Rating SIC only with an ATP certificate or for adding the Type Rating SIC to a Commercial certificate with a Multi-Engine rating. Certification is in accordance with Part 61.55.
